Turkey Handprint Craft

Ok parents pretty soon school will be out again for Thanksgiving break and I as a parent understand that my kids may get bored of doing the same things everyday for 2 weeks. That being said I am going to make several posts of different crafts for the kids to do while they are on break. Today I am going to start with Thanksgiving crafts for toddlers!

My first craft for these toddlers is going to be a Turkey Handprint Craft!

Supplies Needed For Handprint Turkey:

  • White construction paper
  • Brown paint
  • Red paint
  • Orange paint
  • Yellow paint
  • Purple paint
  • White paint pen
  • Googly eyes
  • Orange Paper (or felt)
  • Red paper (or felt)

Of course you’ll need mini hands to do all the messy work too.

Directions:

1. Start by painting the palm of the kids hand and thumb with brown paint. Then paint the other fingers with the with the other paint colors to make the turkey feathers.

2. Next have them place the hand onto the paper spreading their fingers out as much as possible.

3. Once the paint dries you can add whatever you want to your handprint. Such as, the eyes, your name, and the year.

I hope all you toddlers out there have fun making this craft and can put your imagination to work in creating your turkey!
