Thanksgiving Place Card Craft

If you’re looking for a simple place card that looks like you worked hard on it, I have just the project for you! Dressing up the table for Thanksgiving is always fun, especially for someone that’s crafty. Making festive place cards with all of your guests’ names on them is frankly a good excuse for pulling out the glue gun!

Now keep in mind that you can use whatever decorations you want. I used the ones that I had on hand at the time but you can always find great decorations at you local dollar store that will look great too.

Supplies:

  • 1 sheet heavy card stock in a neutral earth tone color
  • Medium card stock in fall colors
  • Silk flowers and foliage
  • Glue stick
  • Paper cutter
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

1. Type out your guests’ names in a Word document. We used the “Windsong” font. Print a test page to gauge the size. Adjust as needed and print.

2. Cut heavy card stock into 4”x4” squares. Fold each square in half and crease.

3. Trim around printed names. Use a glue stick to attach the printed names to the colored card stock. Trim the card stock, leaving a 1/4” border. Attach these to the 4”x4” squares, positioning them to one side, leaving room for the flowers and foliage.

4. Use a hot glue to attach the flowers and/or foliage.

5. Fold the cards on the crease and they are ready to grace your holiday table.
