Framed Kindness Cloud

World Kindness Day is coming soon so I am going to post a few crafts that everyone will enjoy doing!

Supplies for Kindness Cloud Craft

TO MAKE OUR FRAMED KINDNESS CLOUD CRAFT YOU’LL NEED:

  • picture frame (or a dollar store canvas and blue paint)
  • white cardstock cloud
  • cardstock strips in rainbow colours
  • marker
  • glue stick
  • glitter
  • scissors
HOW TO MAKE A FRAMED KINDNESS CLOUD CRAFT FOR WORLD KINDNESS DAY:

If you’re working with a picture frame, use a blue piece of card stock for the background. If you’re working on a canvas, start by painting your canvas light blue.

We used diluted liquid watercolour paint for this step, but you could also use acrylic paint or poster paint.
Next, have your child write his or her friend’s name, in marker, on the cloud.

Now, have your child think up some of the unique qualities that he or she really admires in his or her friend. Choose 6 words that best describes your friend, and then write each word on the rainbow-coloured strips.

Before gluing any of the pieces in place,  play around with the arrangement making sure the coloured strips are in rainbow order and ensure that all of the pieces will fit and display nicely on the canvases and in the picture frames.
Then glue the coloured strips in place.
Now for the glitter!

Then go around the edges of the clouds with a glue stick, and dip the clouds into the glitter.
Shake them gently to remove any excess glitter and then glue the clouds to the canvases and card stock. You can add a little extra glitter to the background of the art.
MAKER MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

We hope you enjoy making these kindness clouds as much as we did!
